Kim Ji Eun Joins Jung Hae In and Jung So Min in Upcoming K-drama “Mom’s Friend’s Son”

Get ready for a heartwarming tale of second chances and childhood bonds! Rising star Kim Ji Eun is confirmed to join the cast of the new tvN drama “Mom’s Friend’s Son,” alongside Jung Hae In and Jung So Min. The news was announced by HB Entertainment on March 8th, stating, “Kim Ji Eun will be gracing the screens once again in ‘Mom’s Friend’s Son.’ We look forward to her continued success this year.”

Kim Ji Eun is currently captivating audiences in the U+Mobile TV K-drama “Branding in Seongsu,” where she co-stars with Lomon, Yang Hye Ji, Kim Ho Young, Jung Yi Rang, and Ahn Yun Hong. After wrapping up this project, she’ll be diving headfirst into the upcoming “Mom’s Friend’s Son.”

Kim Ji Eun’s acting career began in 2014, and since then, she has built a diverse filmography spanning K-dramas and films. Her performances in “One Dollar Lawyer,” “Again My Life,” and “The Veil” significantly boosted her recognition amongst viewers.

In “Mom’s Friend’s Son,” Jung Hae In and Jung So Min take the lead as two individuals whose lives are unexpectedly intertwined. The drama follows a woman seeking a fresh start after a tumultuous past and the childhood friend of the person who caused her heartache.

Kim Ji Eun portrays Jung Mo Eum, a childhood friend of both Jung Hae In’s character, Choi Seung Hyo, and Jung So Min’s character, Baek Seok Ryu. Currently a passionate and dedicated paramedic, Jung Mo Eum carries the dream of becoming a hero since childhood. Saving lives as a paramedic brings immense pride and fulfillment to her.

The drama reunites the powerhouse production team behind the 2021 hit “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.” Director Yoo Je Won (“Crash Course in Romance”) helms the project, while screenwriter Shin Ha Eun (“The Crowned Clown”) brings the story to life.
